Last year, 14,576 thousand lots of bakery products, or 64 tons, have been rejected for sale because of violations of the process, inconsistencies in sanitary requirements, and violations of production workers' check-up terms, said Gennady Onishchenko, the head of the Federal Service on Customers' Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance.
2.8% of bakery products did not meet sanitary-chemical requirements, while 4.6% failed to meet microbiological requirements.

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation is dissatisfied with new technical regulations of the Customs Union on tobacco products. The authorities have issued a corresponding conclusion and submitted it to the developers of regulations.

Ministry of Industry and Trade has posted on its web-site (www.minpromtorg.gov.ru) a letter “On optimization of issuance of explanatory letters” addressed to the Federal Customs Service.
