Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber held the session with the subject «The New Technical Regulation Law – Consequences for Business». The subject of technical regulation is discussed by public organizations, business and state structures with increasing excitement.
Nikolay Novikov, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Sphere of Technical Regulation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade presented to the participants the overview of the situation around the reform of technical regulation in Russia. The new law in the nearest future will bring to the companies that carry out activities at the domestic market the opportunity to confirm their products’ compliance at their choice: either with the standards currently in force on the territory of the Russian Federation, or with the standards of trade partners of Russia.
Andrey Lotsmanov, Deputy Manager of the Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Technical Regulation, Standardization and Evaluation of Compliance, specially emphasized the work of the Committee on technical control in elaboration of the regulations. He suggested that everybody who is interested should join the process of standards’ formation as such activity is directly related to strengthening of enterprises’ competitiveness at the Russian market.
